And the winner is … Paul LaPorte! At last week’s gathering at Bowers Harbor Vineyards for the annual Mission Point Lighthouse Wine Label competition, Paul’s artwork landed the most votes (i.e. dollars), which means his artwork will appear on the label of the upcoming “Lighthouse Pinot Grigio” to be issued this spring by Bowers Harbor Vineyards.

LaPorte actually had two entries in the final three pieces of artwork (they’re narrowed down anonymously), with the third entry by Jim Smania. Here are the other two entries:

Along with the opportunity to vote, attendees were also treated to wine tastings and hors d’oeuvres. , and an opportunity to vote for the artwork of your choice.

This annual fundraising event for the Mission Point Lighthouse Friends, with funds used for improvements to Mission Point Lighthouse‘s building and educational displays. Here are a few more photos of the event.
