Old Mission Peninsula United Methodist Church is hosting their 36th Annual Harvest Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2019, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the church, 16426 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula.
Yes, that’s 36 years of yummy harvest dinners right here on the OMP. This is a great time to get together with friends and family and have a tasty dinner (that you don’t have to cook) at the same time.
Old Mission Gazette is Reader Supported.

On the menu is Swiss Steak, potatoes, hot vegetables, coleslaw, rolls, beverages and the best home-made desserts from any Methodist church on the planet (and you know that’s saying something, because Methodists are known for their potlucks).
Free will donations are accepted, and take-out orders are available by calling (231) 223-4393.
Looking for a church to attend on the Old Mission Peninsula? Consider the OMP United Methodist Church. I can vouch for them because I’ve been going there my whole life – 59 years, to be exact. As a bonus, you get to hear me play my violin in church every Sunday (well, you can let me know if that’s a bonus after you hear me).
More info can be found on the church’s website here.
SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT LOCAL NEWSPAPER: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So I started my own newspaper.
Because Old Mission Gazette is a "Reader Supported Newspaper" -- meaning it exists because of your financial support -- I hope you'll consider tossing a few bucks our way if I mention your event, your business, your organization or your news item, or if you simply love reading about what's happening on the OMP. In a time when local news is becoming a thing of the past, supporting an independent community newspaper is more important now than ever. Thank you so much for your support! -Jane Boursaw, Editor/Publisher, Old Mission Gazette
