The Lord of the Gourd will be carving pumpkins at Cory Holman’s Pumpkin Patch tomorrow – Sunday, Oct. 27, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Cory Holman’s Pumpkin Patch is located at 12926 Center Road on the Old Mission Peninsula, about a half-mile north of Island View Road. Read more about the Holman’s long history on the Old Mission Peninsula here.

Who IS “Lord of the Gourd”? That would be Pat Harrison, one of a growing number of pumpkin sculptors throughout the land. Check him out on Facebook here. He’s also a musician – check out his music page here.
Pat said he came across Cory Holman’s Pumpkin Patch one day when he was out exploring the Old Mission Peninsula on his day off.
“They have a beautiful farm and a great assortment of pumpkins, gourds, squash, decorative corn, corn stalks, straw bales, apples, and other fall decorations,” wrote Pat on Facebook. “I met the owners and they’re super-nice folks, and now I’m happy to say I’ll be doing a carving show there!”

If you haven’t been to Cory Holman’s Pumpkin Patch yet, this is a great time to check it out, grab a pumpkin or three, and watch the Lord of the Gourd in his element. I’m guessing they might also have Buchan’s apple cider and donuts on hand.
