Fall has arrived on the Old Mission Peninsula, and a great way to celebrate is Secret Garden at Brys Estate‘s “Fall Family Fun Day” on Saturday, Oct. 12, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Secret Garden is located at 3309 Blue Water Road on the Old Mission Peninsula.
Everyone is invited to this cheery event, which will include free mulled cider and donut holes, fall lawn games for families, and unique pumpkins for sale, not to mention gourds and decorative and edible squash.
Old Mission Gazette is Reader Supported.

It’s also a great opportunity to take photos of your family amidst the fall splendor. Secret Garden’s fall banner changes every year, and 2019’s banner is fantastic.
While you’re there, be sure and check out the Secret Garden gift shop. They just introduced two limited-edition bar soaps: a Black Charcoal-Lavender-Sage bar soap that works wonders on blemished skin, and an Argan Oil-Lavender-Vetiver bar soap, great for hydrating and protecting your skin.
Both of these are not only great to pamper yourself, but also make wonderful gifts for birthdays, teacher gifts and stocking stuffers.
Another great gift is their new Old Mission Scent – a warm blend of lavender, sandalwood and amber that’s as soothing as a hot cup of tea, a brisk autumn walk or your favorite comfort food. This new scent is available as a hydrating hand soap and moisturizing body lotion, with a beautiful new label and look.
For more info or if you have questions, feel free to call Secret Garden at (231) 223-4235. Happy Fall!
SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT LOCAL NEWSPAPER: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So I started my own newspaper.
Because Old Mission Gazette is a "Reader Supported Newspaper" -- meaning it exists because of your financial support -- I hope you'll consider tossing a few bucks our way if I mention your event, your business, your organization or your news item, or if you simply love reading about what's happening on the OMP. In a time when local news is becoming a thing of the past, supporting an independent community newspaper is more important now than ever. Thank you so much for your support! -Jane Boursaw, Editor/Publisher, Old Mission Gazette
