The Canadian Geese seem a little confused this year. Like they can’t decide if they should head south or stick around on the Old Mission Peninsula. I’m picturing a tape loop in their head of The Clash singing “Should I Stay or Should I Go?”

Although … it’s not like they haven’t gone through this before. Like, just about every year. Check out this photo of them on Bluff Road – surrounded by ice – exactly one year ago – Nov. 18, 2018.

As I was heading home from church yesterday, I spotted a “V” flying around Mapleton, then followed them around the corner to Blue Water Road, past Nancy Heller’s house, and watched them land in Dave Edmondson’s field on the south side of Blue Water Road.

They didn’t seem to be in any hurry to go anywhere else.
