Today’s Photo of the Day is courtesy of the lovely Christmas wreath at the end of the Larimer’s driveway on Blue Water Road. I look forward to seeing it all year, and there it is.
Some of you probably know the Larimers from their long history with the Traverse City Area Public Schools (TCAPS) – Russ as a music teacher and choral director, and Deb as a teacher with Old Mission Peninsula School (she taught both of my kids).

Russ’ dad, Mel Larimer, was also a music teacher with TCAPS and Interlochen Arts Camp, as well as the director of music at First Congregational Church at the base of the Peninsula. The Mel Larimer Concert Series at the church carries on in his honor.
Thank you, Russ and Deb, for this beautiful wreath that reminds us of the joy of the Christmas season. (I guess technically it’s called a “garland” or “swag,” but I like “wreath” better. Here’s last year’s photo of a beautiful “bow.”)
