Photo of the Day: Turkeys on Blue Water Road

Today’s Photo of the Day is courtesy of a flock of turkeys spotted in a field on Blue Water Road the other day. I was heading east and the flock of a dozen or more turkeys were hanging out in Dave Edmondson’s field across from Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery.

As the crow flies, this field is maybe a half-mile from our place on Bluff Road, but we haven’t really seen a lot of turkeys up here this winter. I wouldn’t mind if they sauntered over, though. I miss Mr. Gobbles, our friendly neighborhood turkey who used to hang around the bird feeder a few years back.

And here’s a flock from 2016 in an orchard next to that field. Wonder if they’re the same bunch or possibly the next generation…

And as long as we’re talkin’ turkey, here’s the famous South Airport Turkeys I posted about a couple weeks ago…
