We had a very exciting visit from our friendly neighborhood fox last night. I feel like all of us Bluff Roaders know him pretty well by now, so maybe we should give him a name. All suggestions welcome.
Update: Based on neighborhood info, we now think HE is a SHE. All name suggestions welcome.

Tim had just taken some stuff out to the compost pile when Mr. Fox meandered across the yard in front of the house to check out the new scraps. I quietly opened the door, and he stood for a second and let me take his picture before wandering down the hill towards our neighbors, Pat and Deb’s house. I texted to alert them of his arrival.
On our way home from town a couple of days ago, we spotted him about a mile south of us, and Tammy, our neighbor down the road, was out walking and had stopped to watch him play in a little woodland area. This little guy is so friendly that he didn’t seem the least bit concerned about us watching him from the road.
Here’s our friend in January on the other side of Pat and Deb’s house to the north of us…
And here he is a couple of miles to the north of us a few weeks ago. Photos taken by Jack Olson in their yard…

Some tremendous photos here!
We saw Mr. Fox this morning on our run up Bluff Road. He had a black squirrel in his mouth, which he dropped in order to chase another squirrel, which fortunately got up a tree in time. He came back to pick up the first squirrel and trotted on his way – he was about ten feet from us for most of this and seemed totally unbothered buy us.
