As the world upends itself with worries over the Covid-19 pandemic, these deer on Brinkman Road don’t seem the least bit concerned. I spotted them near the corner of Brinkman Road and Tompkins Road, on my way back from yesterday’s walk on the Lighthouse Trail.
They stopped and looked at me, then ran across the road, then galloped over the field into the woods. There’s always interesting wildlife to be found on Brinkman Road, which really hasn’t changed at all during my entire lifetime on the Old Mission Peninsula.

You can usually spot some deer, turkeys, geese and a variety of birds along the woods, fields and orchards there.
