Do you love history? Love supporting the Old Mission Peninsula community and sharing its stories? Consider becoming a docent for the Dougherty Mission House this summer.

The Mission House is not currently open, but they are looking at possibly opening by the end of July, and they’re in need of docents. When they do open, they will be following Covid-19 guidelines set by the state and local government.

You don’t even have to know OMP history to become a docent, because they offer training sessions. In fact, it’s a great way to learn more about the history of the Old Mission Peninsula (and make new friends, in the process).

Also, in addition to docents giving tours of the house, they are also in need of greeters to greet guests and explain a few details about the home.

The Mission House was previously open Thursday through Sunday; however, they may be adjusting their hours and days this summer.
