Many of you know that I’ve been doing yoga with Sally Van Vleck at the Neahtawanta Inn for about 15 years. She is a great yoga teacher and a good friend and mentor all wrapped into one.
This spring, we’ve been doing “Zoom Yoga” – she teaches from her studio at the Neahtawanta Inn and we all tune in and do yoga from home. It’s been a great way to continue doing yoga with friends during these stressful times.

But now that summer and warmer weather are here, she is switching to outdoor yoga at the Inn – which is always the case this time of year, pandemic or no pandemic. So we will be back together in her beautiful yard at the Inn, with proper social distancing, of course. Lots of room to spread out the yoga mats.
Sally’s yoga classes are open to all, so if you’d like to be included, just give her a call at (231) 223-7315. Along with being the owner of the Neahtawanta Inn, she has practiced yoga for more than 40 years and is certified with the Yoga Alliance. Here’s the lowdown on the summer session:
Outdoor Summer Yoga with Sally Van Vleck
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 – 11:30 a.m.; June 30 – August 27, 2020

SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT LOCAL NEWSPAPER: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So I started my own newspaper.
Because Old Mission Gazette is a "Reader Supported Newspaper" -- meaning it exists because of your financial support -- I hope you'll consider tossing a few bucks our way if I mention your event, your business, your organization or your news item, or if you simply love reading about what's happening on the OMP. In a time when local news is becoming a thing of the past, supporting an independent community newspaper is more important now than ever. Thank you so much for your support! -Jane Boursaw, Editor/Publisher, Old Mission Gazette
