Have you noticed some new trees planted along Center Road? We can thank a group of Old Mission Peninsula residents for that, along with the Old Mission Peninsula Historical Society, which spearheads the tree-planting project throughout the year.
Organized by Historical Society member Brian Brooks, the group planted 19 trees on Center Road just north of the Kroupa Road intersection on May 9, 2020. Six trees were set aside as replacements, if needed.

Several families came together to help with the tree-planting, and were kept in groups of siblings and families to ensure safe social distancing practices.
The Old Mission Peninsula Historical Society also reports that ten memorial trees were sold through May, as well. If you’d like to purchase a memorial tree, download the form here.
