Many of the lavender fields on the Old Mission Peninsula have already been harvested, but I can’t let the summer get away from me without posting some photos of these stunning herbs.
These photos were taken at the corner of Center Road and Blue Water Road, and they belong to Brys Estate Vineyard and Winery. They sell a multitude of lavender products in their retail gift shop, Secret Garden at Brys Estate.

But there are several places where you can get lavender and lavender products on the Old Mission Peninsula. Here’s the rundown…
Lavender on Old Mission Peninsula. Owned by Amy Parker, this ten-acre farm located at 2150 Carroll Road features two different families of the lovely herb: French lavender (larger plants with a high oil content), and English lavender (a smaller, hardier variety with a gentler smell). While most of their products are sold at local farm markets, you’re welcome to call them for more info, (231) 642-6341, and shop on their website here.
Harbor View Lavender Farm. Owned by Sonja and Bret Richards, this lavender farm is located at 17770 Center Road (the old Gleason farm for long-time OMPers). In addition to their greenhouses and nursery, they also grow cherry trees, grapes and raspberries. You’re welcome to stop by the farm and visit their gift shop, or shop on their online store here. Call (231) 223-4330 for more info.
