It’s been a while since I’ve posted a Photo of the Day. When I started the Gazette in 2015, my intention was to post a Photo of the Day, you know, every day. Ha! We can see how well that worked out. Time not only gets away from me, it runs at top speed in the opposite direction.
But these photo posts really don’t take that long to put together, and Lord knows I certainly take enough photos every day. Anyway, here’s one for today.

This is from my hike today through the forest on the North End of the Old Mission Peninsula. Just when you think Spring is upon us, Mother Nature throws some more snow into the mix. Which is fine with me, because I love winter and feel like we got a little gypped this year. You call that winter? The bay didn’t even freeze over! We didn’t even get snowed in! Tim only plowed the driveway a few times (which he’s very happy about).
And I love these late snows after the ice has melted off the trail and you don’t have to worry about falling and breaking a hip in the middle of nowhere. Well, ok, that can still happen, but not because of ice on the trail.
Here’s another pic of the trail. Some parts have more snow than others…
