It’s been a while since I’ve posted a photo of an eagle, so here we go. Today’s Photo of the Day is courtesy of this Bald Eagle perched on the tree outside our window.

He or she looks like a juvenile eagle, but someone can tell me if that’s right. I don’t know if this is the same eagle I posted back in April. Maybe?

I’ve mentioned previously that since we live on a hill on Bluff Road, sometimes it feels like we’re living in a tree house – which is awesome. The eagles love to perch on this one particular branch, and the lighting that day – this was a few days ago – seemed almost Hitchcockian.

As always, all of us are very fortunate to live in a place where we see Bald Eagles so often in our daily travels around the Old Mission Peninsula.

  1. Great pictures! You’re so lucky to see them so often. I’m constantly on the lookout for an eagle soaring over the bay! He/she does look like later stages of a juvenile. They don’t get their white heads and tails until about five years old.
