Dave has been a proven leader and shown dedication to public service. Examples of his experience are numerous. He has served for six years as one of our trustees and also on the Planning Commission (9 years), Zoning Board of Appeals (8 years), and Chairman of the Fire Board (4 years).

In fact, he was a very key part of our Peninsula Township Fire Department becoming a full time operation with cross-trained fire fighters and paramedics. All these positions have required working to advance the quality of life in our community.

One sign of how seriously he is committed to his responsibilities is that he has hardly ever missed a meeting. Further, he has maintained vigorous support for the residents by defending the taxpayers in the winery lawsuit.

Dave is highly experienced and has shown the commitment and proper temperament to be re-elected once again as someone who can be counted on to represent the people. He certainly has earned my vote.

  1. Dave Sanger should not be both a trustee and the zoning enforcement officer period.
He votes on ordinances he is called upon to enforce. He votes on raises for his boss. He gave a pass to the supervisor’s truck sign while citing others with less egregious signs until the Board passed a moratorium to protect one of their own. He has worn clothes that give the appearance he was with the sheriff’s office in the past. I know there are many that want to look away from these problematic actions including everyone on the Board but this should not be considered the normal way our officials uphold their duties including Mr. Sanger.
