He has a broad background in working with people on complicated tasks. One of the many strengths he brings to this position is the development of strategic planning. As our township is growing, the ability to think strategically and implement a plan will be a valuable asset for a governing trustee.

Further, Warner has demonstrated special skill in working with budgeting and financial management. This has always been an important skill, but will prove particularly valuable as our township works to provide a wide array of services and recreational opportunities.

Warner has used his skills both abroad and nationally, but he has chosen to live here with his wife and two children. He believes in responsible growth — preserving our natural beauty, maintaining our historical character, and keeping taxes in check, while responsibly managing traffic, housing and zoning.

Further, he is aware of the importance of a healthy agricultural economy.

SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT LOCAL NEWSPAPER: I started Old Mission Gazette in 2015 because I felt a calling to provide the Old Mission Peninsula community with local news. After decades of writing for newspapers and magazines like the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Family Circle and Ladies' Home Journal, I really just wanted to write about my own community where I grew up on a cherry farm and raised my own family. So I started my own newspaper.

Because Old Mission Gazette is a "Reader Supported Newspaper" -- meaning it exists because of your financial support -- I hope you'll consider tossing a few bucks our way if I mention your event, your business, your organization or your news item, or if you simply love reading about what's happening on the OMP. In a time when local news is becoming a thing of the past, supporting an independent community newspaper is more important now than ever. Thank you so much for your support! -Jane Boursaw, Editor/Publisher, Old Mission Gazette

  1. I agree wholeheartedly with your opinion, Eric! Warner will bring much needed fiscal analysis to the table and is capable of creating long term forecasts with accurate data across all funds so the tax payers are able to see exactly where monies are spent, as well as the impact of different revenue streams!

Warner definitely has my vote for Trustee!

    • Yes he will be a positive for us, especially given his background in … finance, conflict resolution in turbulent situations, and sustainable management of growth. Additionally, he offers a youthful perspective and energy. He has my vote too!

  2. I agree with John Jacobs and the other comments above. I met Warner when he came to a Meet & Greet I recently hosted at the Neahtawanta Inn. He was impressive: straightforward, clear, and did not claim to “know everything” about every topic. I think he’s a person that listens. Boy do we need that! I like that he came with his wife and 2 little children; finally, based on his work experience and background, he will bring helpful and needed skills to the board.
