Allison O’Keefe is president of the OMP Education Foundation. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1993 with a BA in sociology, and graduated from the University of Hartford with a Masters of Education in Counseling in 1999 and a 6th year degree in Counseling in 2000. Allison worked in education for 13 years as a middle school guidance counselor in Connecticut and Atlanta, Georgia area public schools. She also worked at the Frankfurt International School in Oberursel, Germany as a middle school guidance counselor and an assistant principal in the Upper School. Upon returning to the United States, Allison took a position at Suttons Bay Public Schools as a high school guidance counselor and then at West Middle School in Traverse City as a counselor. She chose to leave the education field to raise her two children. Allison was a member of the Peninsula Township Parks Commission and then a co-chair to fundraise for the Bowers Harbor Park baseball fields. In 2016, she became the PTO President for Old Mission Peninsula School, during the time when the local school district wanted to close the elementary school because of lack of school funding.
